CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL/LAW CLERK

Working autonomously at our Torquay office, but part of the broader Conveyancing team, you will build strong, positive relationships with clients to help create their tomorrow.

Your day will vary, from taking instructions for wills, completing a conveyancing transaction or directing a client to another part of our firm.  You will be comfortable in handling large and varied files in an efficient and professional manner. You will be organised, motivated and feel confident working autonomously in a high volume environment.

Your legal assistant and paralegal or law clerk experience will see you handle this role with ease.  Your excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport and deliver on client expectations will be vital. You will manage the end to end conveyancing process, file management and other duties as required in the office.


COMMERCIAL LAWYER (3-5 years PAE)

With our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, professional Commercial Lawyer to join our busy Corporate and Commercial team.

With your corporate experience, demonstrated attention to detail and focus on building lasting partnerships with clients, you will join a team of experts delivering high quality service to some of Geelong’s most interesting clients.

Working with our Managing Principal, our highly regarded Special Counsel and Senior Lawyers, you will have the opportunity to learn every day. You will network with clients and key stakeholders regularly to build your practice, and have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with others.

You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements and advise on law and regulations, including the Corporations Act 2001 and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.  You will balance autonomy and accountability and provide support to the overall team. 


CONVEYANCING MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced, professional Conveyancing Manager to join our busy team in this newly created role, leading a team of paralegals to deliver high quality services to our clients.

As an experienced lawyer, with at least three years post admission experience, demonstrated attention to detail and a focus on building lasting partnerships with clients, you will manage and oversee residential and commercial conveyancing files and subdivisions.

You will work closely with our Marketing and Business Systems teams to build a continuous improvement culture with a focus on streamlining and creating efficient processes to continue to build the business.

Your leadership style is to share your knowledge and experience to develop the skills and experience of the team.  You will also work closely with the Corporate and Commercial team on property development matters where required. 


WORKPLACE RELATIONS LAWYER 3+ YEARS PAE

We are looking for an experienced, professional Workplace Relations Lawyer to join our busy team to deliver high quality services to our clients including preparing employment contracts, policies and enterprise agreements; providing advice on a wide range of employment, IR and OH&S issues and the management of disputes.

You will also be actively involved in client training, presentations and networking activities as you assist the Principal to continue to grow and develop the practice.

CORPORATE & COMMERCIAL PARALEGAL

This full-time role is perfect for someone who is studying law part-time, or has previous experience working as a paralegal.

Reporting to the head of the Corporate & Commercial department, you will be responsible for the liaise with accountants and business advisers in relation to the establishment and restructure of corporate entities and trusts, including conducting online searches and registering business names as part of our Corporate Services offer.

You will also support the Corporate & Commercial team with drafting and research as required, providing an opportunity for you to develop your skills in this area.

You will have the capability to deal professionally with accountants and business advisors, be highly motivated, very well organised with excellent communication skills and be able to work in a high volume environment.


CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL/LAW CLERK

As an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal/Law Clerk, you will be comfortable in handling large and varied files in an efficient and professional manner. You will be organised, motivated and feel confident working autonomously in a high volume environment.

Your experience will see you handle this role with ease.  Your excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport and deliver on client expectations will be vital. You will manage the end to end conveyancing process, file management and other duties as required in the office to support the smooth operation of the team.

This is a 10 month contract position with the possibility for conversion to permanent or extension.
